I’ve discovered that the high vibrational thoughts that my soul longs for must be contemplated; turned this way and that way while my mind and imagination view it from as many aspects as I am capable of; open to new facets that Divinity sends. This piece is my meditation on the aspect of forgiveness. The meditation and the shamanic journeys brought forth this vision and art piece. The angel rides the Feathered Serpent, the frogs sing a Divine song, and I am blessed.

“A Magical Suggestive Mood: Karen Schuman’s patchwork paintings are based on symbolist intuition. Conceived as a blend of landscape and figure paintings as a blend of landscape and figure paintings, their motifs seem to be born from magical conceptions or conjured up by a magician. Fairy tale thems are present in these works. Through the harmonious interplay of color tones, the figures are homogenously integrated , while at the same time, human beons and nature are each givnt their own color identity. The way the figures blend into the landscape lends these pieces an ornamental character.”
